About The Area
The Isle of Wight offers a fantastic variety of landscapes and experiences, perfect for a memorable family holiday or weekend getaway with friends. From bustling seaside towns to secluded coves, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
The east of the island, where our caravan is located, offers a more tranquil atmosphere, a thriving sailing community, and is generally less crowded than the south. It's a great base for exploring the quieter side of the island.
Venture south, and you'll discover miles of golden sandy beaches, passing through classic holiday destinations like Sandown, Shanklin, and Ventnor. Further west, you'll find the dramatic cliffs and dinosaur-rich shores of Compton Bay – a must-visit for budding paleontologists!
The iconic Needles and the charming town of Yarmouth await you on the west side of the island, while to the north, you can explore the historic towns of Ryde and Cowes.
St. Helen's: Your Home Away From Home
Our caravan is nestled in the peaceful village of St. Helen's, on the east of the Isle of Wight. It's conveniently located just a 15-minute drive from Ryde (the main foot passenger ferry terminal) and a 25-minute drive from Fishbourne (the main car ferry terminal), making your arrival and departure a breeze.
Just across the marina from St. Helen's lies the picturesque and historic village of Bembridge, well worth a visit.
From our caravan, you can easily walk to the beautiful Duver Beach and Bembridge Harbour (approximately a 30-minute walk to Bembridge itself). St. Helen's village offers all the essentials, including a pub, two restaurants, and a convenience store. Down by the beach and marina, you'll find a beach front cafe, a lunch shack, a bar, a water-sports centre, and even an art gallery.
